The Director of the Magnet Program is responsible for leading activities required to attain and maintain ANCC Magnet Status.
This role includes, but is not limited to, planning, coordination, education and collaboration about Magnet recognition, serving as a resource for Shared Decision Making Councils, facilitating and overseeing the preparation of all Magnet documentation and interim reporting.
Reports to Network Magnet Designation Director and Campus Chief Nurse Officer.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the comprehensive project plan for assigned campusContributes to strategic initiatives through timely data management and analysis, including:
coordination for preparation, editing, and publication of the Magnet documentCoordination for identification, collection, categorization, and tracking of evidence for the sources of evidence (SOE)Completion of campus specific Demographic Data Collection Tool (DDCT) and interim monitoring as per requirementsManages data collection related to the nursing dashboards; manages all NDNQI clinical data collection, nursing satisfaction survey, and other quality data through role as designated organizational NDNQI site and survey coordinatorEnsures analysis nurse sensitive patient outcome data; compares unit and organizational performance to internal and external benchmarks pursuing ways to improve outcomes and standards of care using evidence-based practice and an interdisciplinary approachDevelops and ensures a culture of patient safety, nursing research, innovation, and recognitionAssists in coordinating and interpreting the data of Patient Satisfaction to identify best practices and improve performancePromotes active involvement of staff in Research and Quality Improvement projects that will align with strategic priorities and promote improved outcomesCoaches and mentors nurses at all levels, to the Magnet model and expectations for implementation of the Professional Practice Model and engagement in Shared Decision MakingResponsible for educating Magnet Champions from all in-patient and ambulatory care areas to facilitate, enhance and promote enthusiasm and to motivate their units to bring the Magnet culture to lifeWork collaboratively with all nursing managers and leaders throughout the medical center to drive changes and support projects through education, communication, and celebrationIdentifies Magnet program-related barriers and reports to Network Magnet Designation DirectorOversees campus preparation for ANCC site visitSpecial magnet related projects as assigned to support Chief Nursing OfficerOther duties and/or projects as assignedAdheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behaviorQualificationsCurrent and valid New Jersey Nursing license is requiredMaster's of Science in nursing is requiredMinimum of 5 years nursing experience requiredMinimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity requiredMagnet experience preferredSpecialty certification in nursing preferredExceptional communication skills and interpersonal skillsAdvanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suiteJob SummaryJob ID:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
