Senior Data Analyst - Life InsuranceJob SummaryAs a Senior Data Analyst - Life Insurance, you will be a key member of the data analytics team that supports the strategic goals and initiatives of the company.
You will leverage your extensive experience and expertise in data analysis, data visualization, and data storytelling to provide actionable insights and recommendations to various business units, IT teams, and senior management.
You will also lead and mentor junior data analysts and ensure the quality and consistency of data analytics deliverables.
You will work on challenging and complex data problems that require advanced statistical and machine learning techniques and deep domain knowledge of the life insurance industry.
You Will:
Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources using SQL, Python, R, or other tools.
Conduct exploratory, descriptive, and inferential data analysis using statistical and machine learning techniques.
Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or other tools.
Communicate data insights and recommendations to business stakeholders using clear and concise language and effective data storytelling.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business problems using data analytics.
Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in data analytics and life insurance industry.
Provide guidance and feedback to junior data analysts and foster a culture of data-driven excellence.
You Have:
Master's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
At least 9 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the life insurance industry.
Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
Proficient in Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
Strong knowledge of statistical and machine learning methods and applications.
Excellent communication, presentation, and data storytelling skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and quality.
Location & Travel:
2 Days a week in our New York, NY, Holmdel, NJ or Bethlehem, Pa location and 3 days a week remote#GuardianITSalary Range$114,080.
00 - $187,415.
00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position.
The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
