(think Field Tech function) Our client is seeking a Store Systems Engineer with aprimary focus on visiting stores to ensure smooth operation of all onsite network technology, excluding registers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technology, exceptional self-management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
Conduct onsite visits to stores across Central/Southern NJ Perform low voltage and network connection tasks, including testing and replacing cables as needed.
Act as a field technician, addressing any issues with technology equipment in stores.
Collaborate with specialists responsible for POS and software systems.
Manage vendors to ensure timely completion of tasks and resolve any issues related to applications or technology equipment.
Maintain logs and track work progress, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Set up and maintain data racks in corporate offices and store locations, adhering to high availability standards.
Ensure proper cooling and ventilation systems are in place for data centers and IT equipment closets.
Emphasize attention to detail and strive to build a world-class operational environment.
Upgrade technology roles as needed and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology infrastructure.
Demonstrate strong networking skills, including WAN/LAN setup and maintenance.
Operate independently in the field, providing reliable and professional service to all stakeholders.
Requirements:
Experience in retail technology support.
Certification in networking, desktop engineering, operating systems.
(CCNA, CCIE) Proficiency in WAN/LAN setup and maintenance.
Ability to set up and manage data racks.
Strong emphasis on high availability and attention to detail.
Reliable and professional demeanor.
Willingness to travel daily between stores and corporate office.
